Claire is an accomplished craft tutor with a wealth of experience gained through facilitating workshops for the Workers' Educational Association (WEA) and Cultural Spring. In addition to her involvement with these organisations, she has independently organised and delivered craft workshops at a variety of venues across the North East over several years.

During the pandemic, Claire demonstrated resourcefulness by supplying craft kits to individuals who were isolating and by conducting online workshops, ensuring continued creative engagement within the community during challenging times

Based in South Tyneside, Claire operates a small studio where she runs creative craft workshops.

Claire has many years of experience selling her own handcrafted work at craft fairs and through online platforms. Her academic achievements include graduating with a first class honours degree in Artist, Designer, Maker, specialising in Glass and Ceramics, from the University of Sunderland.

Claire aspires to continue her research and create works that reflect her creative expression. She places great value on working within the community, sharing ideas and skills, and promoting health and wellbeing through art and craft
